Features

• The machine is equipped with programmable PLC MITSUBISHI FX5_U64 control. Saw blade drive and feed movement are fully controlled by MITSUBISHI technology.
• The color touch screen provides easy operation of the machine. It displays operating statuses such as band saw speed, feed rate, the status of individual work movements, and information about sawing programs.

• The saw can operate in two modes:
• Semi-Automatic (Manual) Mode: The saw cuts the material immediately in semi-automatic mode. The operator uses the feed of the saw to handle the material to be cut and to accurately move the material into the cutting zone. Movement of the feeder is accomplished by manual buttons or by the GTO function. After starting the GTO function, the operator enters the position of the feeder and by pressing the START GTO button, the feeder moves to the entered position.
• Automatic mode: The feeder enters the material based on the set program. The operator sets the cutting program and the saw executes these programs. The operator can store up to 100 programs. One program contains the complete saw setting: bandsaw speed, bandsaw height setting, bandsaw length setting and number of cuts. The length and number of cuts can be set in 20 lines. The saw feeds the different lengths entered automatically.
• The regulation of the saw feed is achieved by the control system using a servo motor and a hydraulic throttling valve. This achieves a very precise feed. The operator enters the desired feed rate (mm/min) into the program and the saw accurately adjusts it.
• The automatic system control (ASR) has two basic modes: ARP and RZP-2:
• ARP = Automatic saw cut control system depending on the cutting resistance of the material or the bluntness of the saw blade.
• RZP-2 = zone control. The system makes it possible to set the optimum cutting feed and saw blade speed in 5 zones of the material to be cut, depending on the position of the band saw blade.
• The system offers two basic modes of ARP: BIMETAL and CARBIDE.
• The BIMETAL mode is suitable for optimizing the feed when cutting profiles with bi-metal bandsaw blades. The feed is higher when the saw blade cuts the sides of the profile. When the saw blade reaches the full material, the system automatically reduces the feed so that the tooth gap of the saw blade is not filled.
• The CARBIDE mode is suitable for cutting full bars. If the band saw blade is overloaded (e.g., if it is worn), the control system reduces the feed. The reaction speed to changes is considerably slower than in BIMETAL mode.
• RTO (Rotate To) function for automatic adjustment of the desired rotation position of the saw arm.
• The control panel is located on the console in a safe position. The control panel includes a digital display of the saw control system and a high-quality foil keypad. The keypad is used to control the basic movements of the saw (movement of the saw arm, material clamp and feed) and to start the saw's duty cycle. The control panel is also equipped with a safety button to stop the machine.
