Contact nozzle adapter PMT/MMT 42
The contact tip adapter is a secondary consumable that holds the contact tip.
It is used so that the part that wears out from repeated contact tip changes is replaceable and does not carry the actual torch neck. In some torch designs, the adapter doubles as a shielding gas distributor.
