Battery Powered Pipe Bevelling Machine Prep 4 TAG
The PREP 4 is one of TAG's most popular beveling machines with internal clamping system and in-line feed. Its good power-to-weight ratio in electric (110 or 220V), pneumatic or battery powered form is unparalleled.
A four-jaw tool holder allows the use of up to four profile bits for weld preparation of pipe with large wall thicknesses, and simultaneous external and internal beveling and smoothing of pipe is very simple and ideal for series work.
Its small size, strength and functionality make it ideal for use in high volume heat exchanger repair and maintenance, pipe flattening, weld removal and J-beveling of tube sheets.

Features and Benefits:
- The PREP 4 is torque-reactive. This means that the pipe does not need to be fixed before bevelling, making the machine particularly useful on the job site, in maintenance and repair situations. All this is due to the design and strength of the crossbar system that clamps into the inside of the pipe.
- The jaw system itself consists of three equilateral jaw segments restrained and clamped on an internal and grooved expandable axle.
- These grooves hold the jaws firmly in place, unlike other systems that use metal or rubber straps to hold the jaws in place.
- As the expansion nut is tightened, expand the jaws, securing themselves firmly and perpendicular to the inside of the pipe.
